Information about Baggage when Flying

Baggage Regulations


Baggage regulations vary depending on the airline. The regulations of the operating airline apply. Rules for hand luggage and current security measures must also be observed.
All permitted items that may be carried on board, such as alcoholic beverages, artworks, bicycles, drones, electronic devices, e-cigarettes, musical instruments, ski equipment, as well as protective weapons and ammunition, can be found in the link below.

  • For each kilogram exceeding the allowance, a fee of 10,- per kg applies.

  • For each additional piece of baggage up to 20 kg, a fee of 75,- applies.

  • Hand baggage is limited to a maximum of 6 kg.

  • For the assistance of UM (unaccompanied minors), a fee of 50,- applies.

  • For animals up to 6 kg, a fee of 50,- applies.

  • Each passenger may check in one piece of baggage up to 20 kg free of charge. If the passenger wishes to split this allowance into two bags (within the 20 kg limit), a fee of 30,- applies for the second bag.

Free Baggage Allowance (Freigepäck)


The free baggage allowance for checked baggage on GP Aviation Ltd flights is 20 kg per passenger from the age of 12, plus one handbag up to 6 kg.
It is recommended not to check in any single bag exceeding 32 kg, as baggage over this weight will not be accepted.

  • Checked-in Baggage:

    • Maximum dimensions: 80 × 40 × 40 cm

    • Maximum weight: 20 kg

Excess Baggage (Übergepäck)


Baggage exceeding the free allowance is subject to charges.

  • For each kilogram above the allowance, a fee of 10,- applies.

  • For each additional piece of baggage up to 20 kg, a fee of 75,- applies.

Hand Baggage (Handgepäck)
For reasons of safety and convenience, only one piece of hand baggage per person is permitted in the cabin. Hand baggage must not exceed a maximum weight of 6 kg and dimensions of 40 × 30 × 15 cm.

  • Cabin bag:

    • Maximum dimensions: 55 × 40 × 23 cm

    • Maximum weight: 6 kg

Liability for Damages


Liability for damages related to passengers, baggage, and cargo, as well as damages resulting from delays, denied boarding, or cancellations, is governed by the regulations of the operating airline or the applicable legal provisions.
